Why choose Canson PhotoArt Pro Canvas?
PhotoArt Pro Canvas 395gr doesn’t just hold your image—it transforms it into a living, breathing work of art. This isn’t merely canvas; it’s the bridge between digital precision and traditional artistry, where your vision takes on the timeless presence of classical paintings. The substantial 395gr weight provides exceptional stability and handling, while the distinctive canvas weave creates a tactile experience that invites closer inspection. Colors seem to emerge from within the fibers themselves, gaining depth and richness that flat papers simply cannot achieve. The matte finish eliminates distracting reflections, allowing viewers to focus entirely on your artistic vision. When your work demands the gravitas and presence that only canvas can provide—when you want your prints to command the same respect as traditional paintings—PhotoArt Pro Canvas becomes your gateway to creating heirloom-quality art that transcends the digital realm.
Choosing the Right Paper
Names like “Photographique” or “Aquarelle” may suggest specific uses, but they rarely tell the full story. Paper choice should depend on your taste, intent, and the nature of the image — not on fixed rules. If you’re unsure, we’re here to help.
Don't get caught up in the name
An example is Rag Photographique: despite the name, it’s a matte paper, 100% cotton, versatile and suitable for many types of images. What matters is not the label, but the results you want to achieve and the purpose of your work.
Image influences, but does not limit
Photographic fine art papers tend to offer higher definition and DMax — ideal for images with strong contrast, such as architectural photography. Even so, those same images can work beautifully on a softer matte or textured paper, depending on what you want to highlight.
The choice is yours
We generally recommend matte fine art papers for illustrations, artistic reproductions, and digital art. Still, the choice should reflect your taste, intent, and the nature of the image — some images may benefit more from certain papers than others. Often, there’s more than one right answer.
Choose with intention. Print with purpose.
Every work is going somewhere. The question is how. Paper, frame, finish — it all speaks. We help make sure it says what you mean.
